Apologetics Press exists to defend New Testament Christianity by providing biblically, logically, and scientifically sound resources that equip the Church, evangelize the lost, and uphold the truth of God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our History<\/strong> and Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the late 1970s, there arose a clear need for scripturally sound and scientifically accurate resources in the field of Christian apologetics. In response to this need, the idea for Apologetics Press was born\u2014an idea that quickly became a reality. The organization was officially established with all the necessary legal steps taken to gain non-profit and tax-exempt status under both state and federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1985, Apologetics Press moved into its own custom-built, 11,000-square-foot facility, which was completed debt-free\u2014a testament to God’s provision and the support of faithful Christians. Our financial operations are overseen by various individuals, including an off-site bookkeeper, an active Board of Directors, and certified accountants who ensure full compliance with all state and federal requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eric Lyons<\/a> serves as the Executive Director. He is joined on the full-time writing staff by apologists Kyle Butt<\/a>, Dave Miller<\/a>, and Jeff Miller<\/a>. Together, they produce a wide range of biblically based, apologetics-focused materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the writing team, Apologetics Press is blessed with a dedicated, talented staff who fulfill a variety of essential roles, including Jeremy Pate<\/a>, Rob Baker<\/a>, Tommy Hatfield, Kirk Ottinger, Isabella Kidwell<\/a>, Tonna Johnson, Jana Lyons, Robert Youngblood, and Chad Thompson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also grateful for an extended team of scientists, scholars, and writers who contribute significantly to our work, including Michael Houts<\/a>, Branyon May<\/a>, Joe Deweese<\/a>, Jonathan Moore<\/a>, Justin Rogers<\/a>, Dewayne Bryant<\/a>, Donnie DeBord<\/a>, Caleb Colley<\/a>, Daniel Stearsman<\/a>, Kevin Cain<\/a>, and Robert C. What We Believe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The following principles of truth are accepted by those who actively participate in the work at Apologetics Press:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Faith in God and the Bible are based on\u00a0evidence<\/a>, and not blindly accepted (1 Thessalonians 5:21; Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1; John 8:32).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. God exists, and humanity can know that\u00a0God exists<\/a>, by means of His manifold revelations, both in nature and through the inspired Word of God, the\u00a0Holy Bible<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The Bible depicts Deity as singular, i.e., there is one and only one divine essence or Being (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5; James 2:19). However, the Bible also clearly depicts God as a triune Being<\/a>\u2014three distinct persons within the one essence\u2014with a triune nature (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Each person of the Godhead (the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) is fully Divine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The entire material Universe was specially created by this almighty God in six days<\/a> of approximately 24 hours each, as revealed in Genesis 1 and Exodus 20:11.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Both biblical and scientific evidence indicate (a) a relatively young Earth, in contrast to evolutionary and old Earth views of a multi-billion-year age for the Earth, and (b) that many of the Earth\u2019s features must be viewed in light of the universal, catastrophic flood of Noah\u2019s day (as described in Genesis 6-8).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Christianity is the one true religion (John 14:6), and Jesus Christ<\/a> is the only divine, resurrected Son of God and Savior of the world (1 John 4:14).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. The 66 books of the Bible are fully and verbally inspired of God<\/a>, and have been transmitted faithfully<\/a>; hence, they are inerrant and authoritative, and a complete guide for moral and religious conduct. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Salvation<\/a> is a free, gracious, unmerited gift from God which mankind can receive by confessing faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God (Romans 10:9-10), repenting of sin (Acts 26:20), and being immersed in water for the remission of past sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Those enjoying salvation are (a) members of the one, true, undenominational church<\/a> (described in the New Testament), which is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:4), and (b) those who are living faithfully in service to God (Revelation 2:10).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. At some unknown point in the future (Matthew 24:36), Jesus will be \u201crevealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ\u201d (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8), while the righteous will be given \u201ceternal life\u201d in heaven (Matthew 25:46).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
